About

About Us

Single moms are the backbone of families that don’t quit; and Little Plates of Love Foundation (LPoL) are the crew that has their back.

We are not here for pity parties or handouts; we are here to fuel fighters with real support. We are a foundation forged to break cycles, build hope, and back every single mom and child chasing a win. Because they are not just surviving – they are rewriting the story.

  • We create a network of care and support that uplifts single mothers and their families
  • We provide real-life skills training, business support, and economic empowerment programs
  • We create a warm and nurturing community where single mothers and their children are cherished, uplifted, and equipped with the resources they need to flourish and craft radiant futures.

Little Plates of Love Foundation was inspired by our co-founders’ (Adedunke Adewuyi and Adekemi Adeleye) passion for a better life for mothers; particularly the single mothers.

We operate from the center of Lagos, Nigeria, but our reach spread far and wide.

Little Plates of Love is inspired by co-founder Adedunke Adewuyi’s conviction that every mother deserves the opportunity to build a stable, independent future for herself and her children.

Having witnessed the struggles of countless single mothers weighed down by financial hardship, Adedunke was deeply moved by how often their dreams felt just out of reach.

This reality ignited her and fellow co-founder Adekemi’s shared passion to create a platform where struggling mothers can find hope, access practical support, and gain the tools to rewrite their stories. Little Plates of Love exists to transform pain into purpose, one mother, one meal, one breakthrough at a time.

Our Guiding Philosophies
and Core Values

Our core values are actionable and are the DNA of who we are as an entity.

We call them ‘The Seven Pillars’. We are big on their enforcement, and uncompromising in ensuring that all our associates embody these set of values.

  • No one is alone in this. We are a family of support that connects moms and kids to people who get it, care, and show up.

  • Every mom, every child deserves respect and a fair shot. We are here to honor their worth and open doors, no judgment.

  • Tomorrow can be better. We spark possibilities - big dreams for kids, fresh starts for moms; because hope changes everything.

  • Kindness is our fuel. We meet single moms where they are, with understanding and care, because they are more than their struggles.

  • Every mother deserves a seat at the table. We create safe spaces where no one is left behind, regardless of background, status, or circumstance. We honor every story and celebrate the strength in diversity, making sure each mom feels seen, heard, and valued.

  • It’s not just surviving - it’s thriving. We plant seeds for moms to learn, heal, and build a future their kids can soar in.

  • A steady foundation changes everything. We work to give moms and kids a solid base that is safe, secure, and ready for tomorrow.
